Today, we’re excited to spotlight Ricky Iqbal, our injection molding process engineer!
Ricky joined Fit-Line Global eight months ago and has been enhancing our injection molding process ever since. He collaborates closely with our design engineers and tooling department, offering feedback on development projects. His role focuses on testing, developing, and executing new projects to ensure smooth production releases.
“I learned mold manufacturing and injection molding from my father, who ran a successful mold manufacturing business from 1985 to 2015. I studied advanced mechanical manufacturing in Pakistan and expanded my expertise by learning scientific molding,” he shared.
Scientific molding, also known as decoupled injection molding, ensures consistent results by using data from testing to develop an optimized, repeatable process. Ricky’s ability to perform this process and teach others represents our commitment to constantly evolving. While our associates are comfortable with traditional molding, we challenge our team to master the art of change and stimulate their creativity to develop innovative products and services for our customers.
“It’s challenging to unify the team around a new approach that takes them out of their comfort zone, but the results will benefit everyone,” Ricky added.
Before joining Fit-Line, Ricky worked at Applied Medical in Lake Forest, CA. There, he contributed to the polymer process development engineering team, handling R&D projects, prototypes, testing, installation, and operational and performance qualifications.
“I see a lot of potential for the company’s growth. It’s always open to new ideas and technology that we can bring in-house to strengthen our business.”
